A Forest without Leaves

Foraging through forgeries of what I’ve forged in me

You must forfeit what you need for what you desire more

You be the old me, I’ll be the new me

You steal the crumbs; I’ll just keep baking bread

A skeleton of twigs, I’m breaking all the time

It only makes me harder to climb

I’m far from the harbor and I’m harboring a criminal

His identity is (me)ant to be subliminal but it’s just sublingual

Hidden under my tongue is a prophecy more brilliant than a pearl

My brain engraved a grave placement out of the pavement

Leaving my body weighed down in the ocean

The waves drowning out all of my motions
